Palms propped upon waist
fingers splayed over the meat of hip
drawing the middle into the space
between us
Reserve weakening
Lips wading through anger
coaxing memory
trying to be forgetten
U
next to me
influx soothing me into sleep
Sprawled and still
I study u
with weighted questions
Answers pushed by the wayside
clasped hands pinned under
wanting to run and scatter thru tufts
I see u
and become nerves and angst
in euphoric movement
U r a beautiful habit
Reserve gives
I return to that place
Before slung words
Before I knew better
Before this feeling had a name
